Philip Skippon in his travel memoirs mentioned a Mr Havers ‘formerly of Trinity college in Cambridge’ as resident in Montpellier at the time Lister was there. (p. 714).

Gilbert Havers, admitted to Trinity College on 20 June 1649, was the second son of Gilbert Havers Esq. of Tuddenham St Martin, Suffolk. Havers received his BA in 1653, his MA in 1658, and he was a student of physic, assisting in the translation of Thomas Sydenham’s work Methodus Curandi into Latin.
